So you can’t get the GigaPixel FanCam to load, lets see if we can help.
iPad’s and iPhone’s
Sorry, guys – the GigaPixel FanCam runs on Flash – so you won’t be able to view it on your device.
We hope to have it working in HTML5 in the future, but at this stage HTML5 isn’t ready to handle the awesomeness yet.
Try and access from an alternative machine.
Smart Phones
You might get lucky here and have enough browser RAM to view the GigaPixel FanCam, but it really wasn’t designed for mobile and we don’t recommend you access it in this manner.
Connection
The initial load is in the region of 3MB, so it’s smaller than most Youtube video’s, but you still need a decent connection to experience it as it was intended.
Check your connection speed at www.speedtest.net – if it’s less than 1MB/sec you’ll need more patience to enjoy the experience.
Popularity
One of our biggest challenges is the popularity of GigaPixel FanCam images. We’re continually adding and reconfiguring our servers to handle the large numbers of people accessing FanCam images at once, but it has happened that we hit traffic spikes and the servers start groaning.
At times like these, the image might take longer than usual to load.
Refresh your page to see if it won’t make a better connection the second time around, or maybe visit a bit later.
If, after a few attempts you just can’t get the thing to load, please contact us via the form below.
Flash Version
It might be that you’re running an old version of Flash. See if you need a quick upgrade by going to the Adobe website http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
This will enhance your experience of many other sites as well.
Internet Explorer 64-bit
There is a known and intermittent bug with IE 64-bit , we’re working on it.
While we do – try using Chrome http://www.google.com/chrome
